So your are watching a film on your beloved Xbox, just to be miffed when someone pops up on your screen asking to join a game of the new DLC Annihilation on Black-ops. Even worse your in a game and a notification pops up right on the target your looking at, you miss your chance then get you killed.

Yes the notifications on your Xbox 360 can be quite a pain but is very easy to get rid of them.

How to turn off Notifications while watch a film.

First of all this will turn off all Notifications during and video play. This will stay in effect until you disable to turn it back on again.

First press your Xbox 360 guide button on your controller this will bring up the blades. move over to right until you get to settings then go to Notifications and un-tick video. Your done that’s it.

If you decide to turn the Notifications back on again, go back to the Notification settings and re-tick video.

 

How to turn off Notifications during game play.

This will turn off notifications temporally and will return to its normal state when you turn your Xbox back on again.  Again press the Xbox button goto settings then online status and set you Xbox live to appear offline. This acts very similar to windows messenger.

Now you will not be disturbed again until you restart. Note these setting are not available in your standard setting. This settings are only found via your Xbox 360 guide button,
