Xbox update coming shortly

An xbox update should be coming out very shortly. This also looks to be a 2 part update as sources are say the first on the 19th of may and the second on the 30th of may.

As Microsoft have just bought out skype for an incredible 18.5 billion dollars this is though to be included to the updates but as yet not confirmed. Paypal as a method of payment has been confirm with the update. This will bring i’n line the rest of the world with the US. This though to counteract the security issues that the PSN are having at the moment.

Kinect owner will also have the long awaited kinect update called avatar Kinect. This brings i’n face recognition to the kinect system.

Included i’n the updates is also thought to be a new security patch for the drives can remember what this is called.

Yes the brand new Xbox 360 which should release on Tuesday Boasts built in 802.11 Wi-Fi 250Gb hard drive and also so be Project Natal’s new name Kinect ready right out of the box. Also include a silent 10w power supply. Most of the other Xbox 360 glitches has been resolved including the “notorious red ring of death”. But during tests one of the biggest problem will all the other models is, if you still move the console while the disc is spinning this still will destroy your disc. But all this does come in a great new sleek design.

Microsoft’s Sued Concerning Xbox Live Points System.

Hi peeps here is some breaking Xbox 360 News that I think you have a look. A Samuel Lassof who is a Philadelphia-based attorney (lawyer) has filed a class-action lawsuit against Microsoft. He has filed the suit over how the Microsoft points system works. Basically he has filled the lawsuit around leftover Microsoft points as where you buy 2100 points you spend 2000 and you are left over with 100 Microsoft points with nothing you and really buy and no refund. But has most people have been saying “isn’t this the same a buy shopping vouchers”. Well the answer as been a simple one with a resounding NO. As you have the choice to pay by cash or the vouchers. The lawsuit is for Microsoft raking in the spare cash of all these spare Microsoft points with and Samuel stating that “Microsoft breached there contract by collecting revenues for digital goods and services which were not provided.”

As of yet Microsoft has yet to respond over this issue. But have given indications that they may be scrapping the point’s system altogether, and use a cash purchasing standard which they have no employed on there games on demand service. I will try and keep track of this story. As normal what is your thoughts and comments around this.

Xbox 360 Sky Player Exposed With Glitches

Yes sky player has finally arrived on Xbox 360 but is only available for the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland at the moment. Yes the Xbox 360 Sky player has had a little glitch at the start of the service. Basically what happened was the Sky servers could not take the strain of all the new demand sequentially crashing there servers. This is still true in peak periods. Xbox.com and Sky.com have both giving out a statement stating “that due to unprecedented demand we are having issues with Xbox-sky service and that engineers are looking into the issue.” It looks to me that they have way underestimated the demand expected.

With this said and done the Sky Xbox player is not bad when running. With a total 26 channels, including Sky movies and Sky Sports. With almost all channels having there own on demand service as well. If you already a Sky subscriber you can sign in using you own Skyid at no extra cost. That’s if you do already subscribe to the channels. If you are not a sky subscriber just go to xbox.com/skyplayer to register.

Now for the cost, for the basic 26 channels this will set you back £15 Sky movies and Sky sports are extra. This should include all the on demand service but again there is small print and is very misleading. For example when you subscribe for the channels it states that on demand are included, but in the small print it states only select programs are included. To make matters worse when you are using the sky on demand service, there are no icons stating that you have to pay for the item, only until you come up to the program itself. This is when you find out that you have to pay 98p per program.

Now having my little rant out of the way, the Xbox 360 Sky Player is not bad. To use the service got video marketplace the to the Sky icon. You will have to download a small free program this is 28mb if my memory Serves me right. With a few nice touch such as the Sky’s original program guide and the ability to watch programs with you friends is a nice touch.

Forza 3 Motorsport Has Its World Wide Release

Well it’s finally here Forza Motosport 3 has now had its world wide release today. I’ve just collected my copy of Forza 3 Motorsport and I will be testing it to destruction tonight. I will be looking for all types off Forza 3 glitches and may be reviewing later this week that is unless someone else wants to do a review of Forza 3. If so just send me a review via are submit a glitch selection. I will also be listing Forza 3 car setups section for anybody who wish to participate please send one though.

Oh ya I have also just received the Xbox LIVE update Preview. This will give me the opportunity to experience all the great new features which will be available soon on another world wide release on Xbox. Again I will be also giving out a quick review and any update glitches that may arise.

UPDATE: 25th Oct sorry for the false news about the forza 3 a its world wide release as the US was not included. The release date for Forza Motorsport 3 in the us is the 27th of october. By the way to all the people in the US. it is worth the wait. Time for me now to have another race.
